The Heritage collection reflects the vision and pioneering spirit that have characterized Montblanc since its inception. The Simplo Filler Pen Co., founded in 1906, marketed one of its own models called Rouge et Noir, French being fashionable at the time. It was a black ebonite fountain pen topped with a coral-colored cap head, and featured a retractable nib mechanism with a sliding sleeve, a technical achievement that allowed for simple use without the need to dip the nib in the inkwell. The 2016 edition reinterprets the old model, featuring a longer silhouette and modern technology.

Limited edition of 1906 pieces (number 89). In black ebonite sheathed in metal with a screw cap, aged metal fittings. A sinuous serpent drapes around the end of the cap, its diamond-shaped head forming the clip. The serpent's eyes are rubies. The top of the cap is crowned by the Montblanc emblem, on a coral-colored background. The old Montblanc engraving, dusted with white, separated by the triangular design of the mountains, adorns one side of the cap. The nib is 14-karat rhodium-plated yellow gold, decorated with a finely engraved serpent. The section is brushed metal. Piston filling system.
