After the 4th photo, watch the video of this incredible audition of Henry Thomas while Steven Spielberg was looking for his Elliott. Henry is face-to-face with him. The performance is incredible and the boy is hired on the spot.
The scene Henry is playing is the one where the "bad guys" come to take E.T. away from him. Henry has to show his disagreement and sadness regarding the situation.
Having seen many auditions, this one is my favorite.
